The crop circle phenomenon has surfaced in our western Canadian province once again for the first time in three years.

The crop circle impressions are situated on a hillside above a V-shaped convergence of two trails. The impressions resemble that of two light bulbs connected to a stomach shaped feature below them.  The Canadian Crop-Circle Research Network is investigating the circles.

Print Story Valley of the River

Our city is situated between the junction of a river and a creek, with the river flowing through the valley on the southern outskirts and the creek separating the south and north parts of the city.

There is a certain tranquility to be achieved just by sitting in the backyard of your home during the fading days of summer. This is especially true if your backyard overlooks a valley complete with animals that feast on the many varieties of grasses and drink from the cool water of the river. You can also see the leaves of the trees being painted by Mother Earth in anticipation of fall.

Print Story Bored Young Teens

Young teens around 13-14 appear to be very bored or something this past while. They have been starting fires in our little city this past few months for no rhyme nor reason. Last night they hit my neighbourhood and set an empty house that was for sale on fire, destroying that and the house on either side of it putting two families out on the street. It was a wonder no one was killed. Of course they know who they are but these kids will get a slap on the wrist is all. I dont know what is going wrong these days with kids. Well, i think I do, but wont go there.

ZZ Top is blasting away on the jukebox. Kegs of beer are being emptied and there are a couple of pool games going on in the far corner of the bar. If one wanted to have a nice quiet drink, they were definitely out of luckā€¦. and it is only 10 a.m.

Print Story Into the Fires of Hell

I am writing this from my hospital bed. Attempting to write when my brain is functioning and not flying around in a mess of massive colours.

The visions, weird painted faces, strange scenery, fire and ice were jumping out in full colour. Flashes of blues, reds, greens and yellows. Hallucinations. Hearing voices. I couldnt sleep. It seems nightmares have become a part of my sleep and awake pattern for the past few days, ever since I returned from my vacation in the Southern United States. It is really strange how one can be so high on life one week and hitting rock bottom the next.

When one thinks of nurses, doctors and hospitals, thoughts usually turn to sickness, antiseptic and stethoscopes. The following stories show there is another side that the public at large does not know about. They show how the health care team alleviates some of the stress while working within the health care system. Laughter is the best medicine!
